Hey Moms... You Matter!

Hey Moms... You Matter!

Whether you are a new mom, a working mom,
a mom dealing with teenagers,
or a mom with adult children (possibly still living with you),
We honor you!

Your unconditional love, dedication, compassion,
patience, resourcefulness, multitasking abilities and
selflessness do not go unnoticed over here.

While raising kids can be incredibly exhausting,
it is incredibly rewarding.
Words of wisdom from my cousin Mary Ann recently:
The best we can do is give them solid Roots
and then some Wings.

But as we all know, Mom's tendencies are
to put everyone's else needs first.
And we also know burn out does not benefit anyone.
So we challenge you to indulge in some self care.
While the below is not rocket science,
I feel we need a reminder every now and then of
what self care looks like.

1. Set boundaries: Moms can set boundaries by saying no to activities or tasks that
drain their energy or time, or by delegating tasks to others. This can allow them to
have more time for self-care activities.
2. Practice saying no: Moms may feel guilty about saying no, but it's important to
remember that it's okay to prioritize their own needs. Saying no to activities or
requests that don't align with their priorities can help them feel more in control of
their time and energy.
3. Prioritize rest: Getting enough rest is essential for physical and mental health.
Moms can prioritize rest by creating a regular sleep schedule and taking time to
relax, whether that's through meditation, reading, or taking a bath.
4. Exercise: Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and improve physical health.
Moms can incorporate exercise into their daily routine by going for a walk, taking a
fitness class, or doing an at-home workout.
5. Maintain a healthy diet: Eating a healthy diet is important for overall health and
well-being. Moms can focus on eating whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, lean
proteins, and healthy fats, and limiting processed and sugary foods.

It's important for moms to find self-care activities that work for them and that they
enjoy. By prioritizing self-care, moms can improve their overall health and well-being,
and be better equipped to handle the challenges of daily life.

Take care of yourself. You deserve it!
